Sheila Huth lives and works in the coastal suburb of Green Point in Cape Town.
She has been painting for 17 years and studied with Wilma Du Toit and Cyril
Coetzee. Sheila continues to learn with attending many workshops and
experimenting with new techniques and subjects.
Oil has mostly been her medium. Previously bright bold abstracts were her
preferred style, however Sheila's process has evolved creating beautiful
paintings including portraiture, still-life and new alchemy techniques as natural
abstracts. She paints from a place of contentment and this shows in her work.
Sheila has participated in group exhibitions in Sternberg, Granger Bay, Hout Bay
Gallery and Marce Gallery in Stellenbosch. She has sold paintings to buyers in
South Africa, Switzerland, Belgium and New Zealand. Sheila's show in 2018 at
Ground Art Caffe was a near sell out.
We are proud to present her second solo exhibition. Please join us for the
opening event on Tuesday the 7 th of June from 6-8pm. Complimentary wine and
canapés will be served.
